Our story

Founded by experience for excellence
Pronto Alpha was established in 2025 by Steve Coghlan, a seasoned executive with more than 25 years of experience across Defence, Resources and Professional Services.

Steven Coghlan,

Founder and Director

Leveraging 25+ years of experience across Defence, Resources, and Professional Services, Steve founded Pronto Alpha in 2025 to help organisations recruit and retain the right talent.

Prior to this, Steve began his career in the Australian Army where he deployed overseas on peace monitoring and humanitarian aid operations, and served on domestic counter-terrorism and special recovery duties.

Transitioning to the corporate sector in 2006, Steve fulfilled the roles of State Operations Manager for a telecommunications infrastructure company, State Manager for the peak body representing consulting engineering firms and State Manager for the Governance Institute of Australia. In 2019, the Governor General of Australia appointed Steve to the Veterans Review Board, a position he still holds.

Most recently, Steve served as GM Human Resources and Veterans for Australia's largest private company.

Steve holds a Bachelor of Arts (UNSW), a Master's in International Relations (Mq), and Diplomas in Business, Personnel Management, and Administration. He is also a past Board Member of Torchbearers for Legacy WA.
